Site Rules

The Rules of Lost Shores can be found here, and although they seem lengthy there isn't much rules so bear through it. All the rules must be followed and will be enforced strictly, this includes all the rules in the rp and out of the rp. Every site has rules, LS is no different and LS will handle rule breaking correctly with an appropriate punishment.

When joining..

In LS we have no rule that says "you must put this in your joining form" I trust you read the rules and if you don't it will show when you start breaking them left and right. Though when you join it is important to know that you should register with the name your character goes by. This means if you have a character named James but he goes by Jimmy your user name would be Jimmy. When registering do not use nay fancy symbols in your usernames or anything, so I don't want to see any username like sw@giddy_y0l0#188234 nor do I want to see a username like ℭ♄αґℓḯℯ, just plain letters, no numbers or underscores or anything, just letters.

Graphics

When customizing your profile please make sure your signature and avatar do not extend the forum. They can be however long you wish as long as they aren't so fat they fuck up the forum. The appropriate width of a signature is about 500 pixels and the appropriate width of an avatar is about 200 pixels, please make sure your signature and/or avatar do not exceed these widths.

Character Creation

The first thing to do is make sure the face claim you want is not already taken, to do this quickly just visit our Face Claims topic. Once you've done so please make sure we do not have any current bans on the gender/species you want your character to be. After you have done both of these you can go on and use our biography guide to set up a biography in the correct folder according to your characters gender. The staff of LS will try our best to get to your biography, read over it and accept it as soon as possible. If your biography is denied three times then your biography will be completely trashed and you will have to start all over, we are not here to tell people over and over again what to do to improve their biography.

Character Amount

Honestly, you can have as many characters you feel you can handle though there are conditions. Your first 3 characters are completely free without any cost, you can make them right off the bat. However, to get a fourth character you must have at least 50 posts with each current character and all your current accounts must be fully active, posting in rp with them at least once a week. This goes on for all your future characters, as long as each of your current characters are active and have at least 50 posts you may create a new character. If any of your accounts go inactive they will instantly be deleted. You may have ONE character per an account.

Deleting Characters

Decided that you cant handle your character? Then contact a member of the LS staff saying you'd like to delete a character. In order to delete a character you must have at least rped them for 3 weeks to give the character a chance and they must have at least 30 rp posts before being deleted. If a staff member accepts your request to delete a character then you have full ability to delete them, though to delete a character you must officially kill it off or make it leave the group in the rp so that your character hadn't disappeared off the face of the planet.

Having Babie's

You want your character to have a family now eh? Or maybe just have kids? Well thats perfectly fine, as long as both parents agree to it and the staff accepts it. The actual sexual action is not allowed here in LS but you may you the fade to black method (if you don't understand what the fade to black method is just contact me). After being accepted by the staff the female character must rp being pregnant for 4 weeks before giving birth. There must also be a willing member to rp your child once they are old enough to be rped, which is about 24 months (though for times sake a child is rp-able and able to talk (badly) 6 weeks after birth)

Behavior

OOC (out of character) behavior it taken seriously. Inside and outside of the chatbox members are to be kind to others, not giving anyone any trouble. Although language is allowed on LS, it is not EVER to be directed towards another user even if its messing around or not, calling someone names is to be taken seriously and should never be done. When a moderator or admin says you've done something to break the rules, do not put on a huge dramatic scene and be pissed at the world, you may argue against them calmly to explain yourself but don't just turn into a big dickhead and start a riot.

PG-13

Our site is a PG-13 site, which means no sexual content, and mild language. We do allow bad language, as long as it isn't being used CONSTANTLY and there isn't an F bomb being dropped every other line. Like said before, you can use the fade to black method in sexual content but DO NOT rp anything graphic or you will be banned for some time. We allow relationships and romantic theme of course we do, just no graphic sexual behavior as there are quite a few members under the age of 18.

In Character

LS is a semi-literate site, meaning members must post at least 250 words per a post. Posting more then that amount is encouraged though and it would really help those literate members who post 400+ words a post squeeze out a post quicker but 250 words is the required limit. As said in the rule above, LS is a PG-13 site so explicit materiel is not allowed. References to sex, drugs, and alcohol is allowed to some extent but any graphic or in depth plots or posts with those materiel are not allowed and should not be publicly displayed in our rp and should in stead be taken to private messaging. You must post at least once a week in character with each of your characters and keep them all active. If this is not done you will be removed for inactivity.
